Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Sr. Field Technician to lead crews on substation testing and maintenance projects across North America. You will manage safety, scheduling, and customer interactions while delivering high-quality execution of HV/MV/LV equipment work.

The role requires extensive electrical testing expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and project managers to meet schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or military experience preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience is expected.
• NETA III certification is required; NETA IV is a plus.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings, enforce PPE, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Direct testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of HV/MV/LV equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical/control systems and identify root causes.
• Analyze results and consult schematics to optimize equipment function.
• Prepare and manage detailed reports and testing documentation.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers, PMs, and customers.
• Mentor Field Technician I-III and develop team capabilities.
• Represent EPS in the field and maintain client relationships.
