Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician III to lead field crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance of substation equipment, and support commissioning and critical field operations. This experienced role emphasizes safety policy adherence and technical leadership across projects in North America.

You will diagnose complex issues, interpret test results, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure efficient execution and quality

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen due to safety sensitive position
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and identify hazards
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers and crews
• Perform advanced testing and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues using schematics and diagrams
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance to restore equipment functionality
• Support installation and commissioning activities including functional testing
• Review field documentation for accuracy and discrepancy tracking
• Mentor and train junior technicians on best practices
