Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician III to lead crews in advanced testing and maintenance of substation equipment across North America. The role emphasizes safety leadership, troubleshooting complex electrical systems, and coordinating with engineers and project teams on commissioning and field operations.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen for safety sensitive position.
• Must complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Must be able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and ensure PPE usage and safe practices across the team.
• Direct field execution of testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Review field documentation and ensure accuracy of test reports and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers, project managers, and other crews.
