Gilbane Building Company seeks a Superintendent to manage all field operations on-site daily, guiding project teams to deliver high-quality work on schedule. You will be responsible for coordinating trades, maintaining safety, and driving efficient field execution.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience with large commercial/industrial projects in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5–15 years of experience on $10–$100 million commercial/industrial construction projects.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day coordination of Gilbane's trade contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Manage the project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develop and communicate the work plan for field changes.
• Maintain contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Ensure subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction.
• Enforce safety compliance and lead safety culture on site.
• Lead safety strategies and drive safety culture across project personnel.
• Maintain project reports and documentation.
• Create, manage, and update the project schedule and contingency plans.
• Coordinate jobsite logistics and material needs.
• Collaborate with business development to align sales strategies with project delivery.
