Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Lead Superintendent for a Milwaukee project valued between $5–$50 million. This on-site role requires independent management of field operations and leadership of trade contractors to meet the project schedule.

Ideal candidates bring 7–12 years of superintendent experience on large commercial/industrial builds, OSHA 30, and strong capabilities in safety, planning, and coordination. Gilbane emphasizes people-first culture and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7-12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project for $30M+ on commercial/industrial construction as a superintendent.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of Gilbane's trade contractors to ensure high-quality work and schedule adherence.
• Develops, communicates work plans for changes in the field.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to proactively anticipate problems.
• Obtains necessary permits for construction by subcontractors.
• Leads contractor meetings regularly and maintains project documentation.
• Manages daily reports and the project schedule, with contingency planning as needed.
• Plans and coordinates jobsite logistics and safety programs.
