Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5-$50M project in Atlanta, GA. The role is on-site daily and involves leading safety, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors and client teams.

The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of leadership in commercial/industrial construction, OSHA 30, and STS-C certifications, with strong problem-solving and communication skills to drive on-time, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
• OSHA 30-hour certified or equivalent
• STS-C Certification or equivalent
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training or equivalent
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project for $30M+ on commercial/industrial construction

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trades to meet the project schedule
• Develops and communicates the field work plan
• Maintains contract knowledge to anticipate problems
• Obtain permits for construction activities
• Lead safety programs and enforce safety compliance
• Lead contractor meetings and maintain daily reports
• Create, manage, and adjust project schedules
• Coordinate with operations to align with client and team needs
• Support buyout, scope writing and T&M tracking
