Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a General Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on projects up to $100M. This on-site role requires daily leadership of project teams, trade contractors, and safety programs to deliver on time and within budget.

You will plan, coordinate, and manage site logistics, maintain daily reports, and ensure quality by enforcing the project safety plan and procedures. The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of experience on large commercial/industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 10–15 years of experience on $30–$100M commercial/industrial construction projects or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role.
• OSHA 30‑hour certified; STS-C Certification; First Aid/CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed training.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet the approved project schedule.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Obtains or verifies permits for construction activities.
• Acts as primary safety representative and enforces safety compliance.
