Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Senior General Superintendent II to manage field operations on one or more large projects. The role is on the job site daily and drives project progress, safety, and quality through the site leadership team.

You will lead a high-performing team, coordinate with owners, architects, and contractors, and ensure compliance with safety programs and project schedules. Gilbane emphasizes growth, training, and a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years of experience on commercial/industrial construction projects or lead superintendent roles.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates Gilbane's trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and Next 150/Site Services.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and lenders to show progress.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to coordinate trades and anticipate problems.
• Leads contractor meetings and reviews daily reports.
