Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a qualified Superintendent to supervise skilled trades and manage onsite activities for large Heavy Highway/Bridge projects in Chesapeake, VA. You will collaborate with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Project Engineers to drive safety, production, and profitability on the jobsite.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and 6+ years of field management experience on roadway/highway work, with strong leadership, scheduling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 6+ years field management experience on heavy civil projects.
• Roadway/Highway project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Foremen and supervise crews to ensure safety and quality.
• Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules; coordinate with Project Manager.
• Manage costs, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Uphold Safety 24/7 culture across crews.
