Job summary

Kokosing Construction seeks a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee large Heavy Highway/Bridge projects in Chesapeake, VA. You will lead skilled trades, enforce safety, manage production, and drive profitability on site, collaborating with the Operations Manager and Project Team to deliver on-time, within-budget results.

Responsibilities include scheduling, manpower coordination, coordinating subcontractors, and mentoring foremen, with a strong focus on safety culture and quality

Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years of field management experience in heavy/highway construction.
• Roadway/Highway project experience is preferred and a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Foremen on safety, productivity, and quality.
• Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules for crews.
• Assist Project Manager in creating project schedules.
• Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling and material needs for crews.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors.
