Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior General Superintendent II to manage field operations on one or more large projects. The role is on-site daily, leading a diverse team and coordinating with owner, design professionals, and lenders to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years on major commercial/industrial builds, OSHA 30 certification, and a strong track record in safety leadership and program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 15+ years on $50–$100+ million commercial/industrial projects in a lead role.
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and safety management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates trade contractors and subs to meet schedule.
• Supervises and develops the project team on site.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and Site Services.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and lenders.
• Maintains contract documents and coordinates trades and inspections.
• Drives safety culture and ensures compliance with safety plans.
