Job summary

Thomson Power Systems, a Regal Rexnord company, is seeking a Field Service Technician for onsite work in Las Vegas. This hands-on role entails startup, testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance on power distribution equipment at customer sites worldwide.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade switchgear and control systems while interfacing with customers and coordinating with regional teams. Travel is anticipated up to 50% with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands on experience in preventative and predictive maintenance of power distribution and control equipment.
• Experience installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and electrical regulatory codes (CSA/NFPA/UL).
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently and remotely.
• Proficient PC skills including email, internet, data entry and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs for customers in Las Vegas area.
• Perform site investigations, equipment installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of power distribution and automation systems.
• Complete project field activities on time meeting customer requirements.
• Collaborate with local field service office and TPS headquarters in Langley, BC.
• Maintain customer/vendor relationships with high quality service; provide timely follow‑ups.
