Job summary

Quadient is seeking a Field Technician II to install, service, and upgrade equipment at customer locations. You will diagnose issues, configure hardware and embedded software, perform routine maintenance, and provide on-site training and guidance to customers.

Travel to client sites frequently (up to 100%), lift up to 50 lbs, and collaborate with project teams to ensure reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Customer Service or equivalent experience, preferred.
• 6+ years of electrical / mechanical installation, troubleshooting and repair experience, preferred.
• Ability in reading technical diagrams, manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency in reading technical diagrams, manuals and schematics, preferred.
• Troubleshooting and repairing both hardware and electronic components, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, service or upgrade equipment onsite at customer locations.
• Configure hardware and embedded software components after installation.
• Perform advanced configuration and servicing of hardware and software business applications.
• Diagnose general and advanced technical issues, troubleshoot problems and identify solutions.
• Carry out expert-level troubleshooting on large equipment.
• Test equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and provide technical recommendations.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians.
• Travel to customer sites frequently, up to 100%, with a valid driver’s license.
• Lift or move 50 lbs (22 kg), with or without accommodation, within OSHA guidelines.
