Job summary

Quadient is seeking a Field Technician II to install, service, and upgrade equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and ensure proper operation of hardware and embedded software, while training customers and maintaining documentation.

Travel up to 100% is required. A high school diploma and 1+ years of customer service experience are expected, along with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience and 1+ years of customer service experience.
• 1-3+ years of electrical/mechanical installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, manuals, and other technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills; able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Lift up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodation) and mentor/train junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, upgrade, configure, test, and maintain hardware, embedded software, and applications at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues; perform preventative maintenance and ensure reliable operation.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance with clear communication.
• Manage service tools, parts inventory, and technical documentation; maintain records and customer satisfaction.
• Travel up to 100% to customer locations; identify technical solutions with customers; maintain a valid driver’s license.
