Job summary

Rivian seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead advanced vehicle repairs and field support. The role blends service-center work with remote diagnostics, travel to remote sites, and deployment at production plants as needed.

Candidate will mentor junior staff, drive continuous improvement, and tackle complex HV and network diagnostics with a team-oriented, safety-conscious approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency credential preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• Ability to travel to regional locations or production plants as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, and inspections in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance to field teams and perform remote diagnostics when possible.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and partner teams; lead problem solving.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive standardization across workflows.
• Oversee complex parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
