Rivian Automotive is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role blends on-site service center work with remote support, requiring adaptability, teamwork, and diagnostic leadership.

You will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and tackle challenging HV and network diagnostics across diverse locations including customer sites and production plants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency credential preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to regional locations or production plants as needed.
• Proficient in Windows/Mac environments and work order systems.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• State mechanic certifications where required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Complex Repairs: bumper‑to‑bumper diagnostics and repairs in centers and on site.
• Technical Support & Remote Troubleshooting: provide guidance and remote diagnostics when possible.
• Leadership & Mentorship: coach and train junior technicians and partners.
• Advanced Tools & Methodologies: use diagnostic tools to resolve HV/network faults.
• Quality & Process Standardization: road tests and continuous improvement of repair workflows.
• Parts Operations & Systems: oversee ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Documentation & Technical Feedback: produce documentation and root‑cause analyses.
