Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Technician Level III to perform advanced start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and repair of IEM equipment. You will resolve complex technical issues, support critical customer engagements, and mentor junior technicians in a fast-paced field environment.

Travel up to 75% may be required to IEM regional field sites. Strong diagnostic and communication skills are essential to coordinate with Project Managers and internal

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in power distribution systems.
• 3+ years in electrical, mechanical, or field service roles preferred.
• Experience with switchgear start-up, commissioning, or related field service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install, inspect, and support electrical/mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Lead or support complex field service activities and escalate critical issues as needed.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, PMs, and internal teams.
• Analyze system failures, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, networking equipment, and field issues.
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and parts usage.
• Provide technical guidance and training to Level I/II technicians.
