Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Technician Level I to support start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of IEM equipment at customer sites. You’ll work under guidance, learn on‑the‑job, and develop within a field service career path.

You’ll gain comprehensive training and mentoring, with opportunities to grow technical skills in electrical and mechanical systems, and travel to regional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems preferred.
• 0–2 years of related electrical/field service experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and use hand tools.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Support start-up and commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products under guidance.
• Assist with installation and modification of electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Perform basic testing of modified assemblies per procedures.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of electrical circuits and networking equipment.
• Identify and escalate issues to Field Service Leads, Project Managers, or management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
