Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level III to perform advanced start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment across customer sites. The role requires coordinating with project managers, engineers, and field staff to resolve complex issues and ensure high-quality service delivery.

You will mentor junior technicians, document actions and findings, and travel to regional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of electrical, mechanical, technical, or field service experience preferred.
• 2+ years in switchgear start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, or related field service activities preferred.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; safe tool handling and PPE compliance.
• Clear communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install, inspect, and support electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Lead or support complex field service activities for high-priority issues.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Document service activities, root cause analyses, and follow-up items.
• Mentor Level I and II technicians and provide on-the-job guidance.
