Job summary

K Group Companies in West Chester, Ohio is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to advance from Level I responsibilities and lead installation teams. You will configure devices, program management platforms, commission systems, and train customers at a basic operations level.

You will also mentor Level 1 installers, manage service tickets, and communicate with project staff and clients to ensure high-quality installations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience completing projects within scope.
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes.
• Required 1+ year of previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have valid US Driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities, following our documentation to uphold high installation standards.
• Demonstrate organizational skills in handling project and service tickets with prompt updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations, taking accountability for assigned tasks.
• Assume leadership by delegating tasks within the team’s capabilities and fostering collaboration.
• Mentor Level 1 installers when leading a team and seek feedback for improvement.
• Maintain regular communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Showcase expertise with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, especially leadership and communication skills.
• Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) of products before installation.
• Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable, fully operational solutions.
• Willingly accept additional duties as needed.
