Job summary

K Group Companies in Ohio is seeking a Field Service Technician II to join our team in Blue Ash. You will lead installation efforts, configure and program devices, perform FAT, and train customers on basic operations, while ensuring high service quality.

You will mentor Level I installers, coordinate with project managers, and manage tickets, with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction across nurse call, access control, and video systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP).
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes.
• Must have valid US Driver’s license.
• Knowledge of fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities per our documentation.
• Demonstrate strong ticket management with timely updates for assignments.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations, taking accountability for tasks.
• Lead team by delegating tasks and fostering collaboration.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and seek feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Apply expertise with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue professional development in leadership and communication.
• Perform FAT and system commissioning to ensure quality and performance.
• Accept additional duties as needed.
