Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical leader for complex vehicle repairs and field operations. This role blends service center work with remote and on-site support, requiring strong diagnostic skills, leadership, and a proactive improvement mindset.

You will mentor junior technicians, tackle high-visibility issues, and travel to remote locations or plants as needed. Night shifts may be required, and a valid driving record is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; automotive repair schooling preferred.
• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience with bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3–8+ years experience with high voltage HV systems and HV diagnostics.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred; mentoring roles considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs at service centers or in the field.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead problem-solving.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory and billing.
• Document results and provide root-cause analysis to engineering and leadership.
