Job summary

Empower Rental Group seeks a skilled Field Service Technician for the Tuscaloosa, AL area to diagnose, repair, and service a diverse fleet of heavy equipment on customer sites. You will work autonomously from a service truck, maintaining equipment uptime and delivering top-notch service.

The role requires 5+ years’ hands-on experience with diesel engines, powertrain, hydraulic and electrical systems, plus strong customer communication and independent problem-solving in dynamic field environments.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years diagnosing and repairing heavy construction or aerial lift equipment (heavy equipment experience).
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Proficient with modern diagnostics tools and mobile work orders/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for urgent service, diagnostic, and repair on heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Communicate with customers and train on proper use of equipment.
• Assist shop team with complex repairs and mentor other technicians.
