Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role combines hands-on diagnostics with mentorship of junior technicians, spanning service centers, customer sites, and remote locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program is preferred.
• State mechanic certifications where required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and on customer sites.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for field issues.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead problem-solving sessions.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Document findings and provide root-cause analysis to leadership.
