Job summary

PwrQ Holdings LLC seeks a Sr. Field Service Engineer to act as the technical authority for commissioning and modernization on MV/HV power systems. You will lead on-site teams, perform advanced diagnostics, and ensure safe, compliant system operation across customer sites.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate testing, and drive quality, schedule adherence, and continuous improvement in every project phase. Travel to client sites will be frequent.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of progressively responsible field experience with MV/HV switchgear, protection and control systems or an equivalent blend of degree + field exposure.
• Ability to lead field crews and manage on-site execution for complex commissioning and service events.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical safety practices (NFPA 70E/OSHA) and arc-flash risk controls.
• Proven ability to read, troubleshoot, and redline schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
• Authoritative transformer field testing and condition assessment experience, including IEEE C57 guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of complete electrical systems, including acceptance testing and performance verification.
• Serve as primary technical escalation point for advanced control, protection, and integration issues.
• Plan and perform advanced diagnostics for equipment and protection/control faults.
• Coordinate transformer condition assessment, SFRA/DFR testing, oil analysis, and fault investigations.
• Provide technical leadership during outages and direct field testing with crews and customers.
• Develop and standardize field procedures, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
