Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. seeks a Sr. Field Service Engineer to serve as the technical authority for complex field service, commissioning, and modernization of MV/HV power systems.

You will lead on-site projects, mentor field staff, and ensure safety, quality, and timely execution across transformers and protection/control systems. You will oversee advanced diagnostics, relay testing, and system integration while interfacing with customers and project teams to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 11+ years of field experience with MV/HV switchgear, protection & control systems or an aligned degree plus equivalent field experience.
• Ability to lead field crews and manage on-site execution for complex commissioning and service events.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices (NFPA 70E/OSHA) and arc-flash risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of complete electrical systems and perform acceptance testing.
• Act as primary technical escalation point for protection, control, and system integration issues.
• Direct testing activities, mentor technicians, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
