Forgent Power seeks a Sr. Field Service Engineer to act as the technical authority for commissioning, diagnostics, and modernization of MV/HV power systems.

You will lead on-site teams, interface with customers, and mentor engineers while driving safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The role requires extensive field experience, strong knowledge of transformer diagnostics, and hands-on testing of protection and control systems.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of field experience with MV/HV switchgear, breakers, and protection and control systems.
• Ability to lead field crews and on-site execution for complex commissioning events.
• Strong electrical safety knowledge (NFPA 70E/OSHA) and arc-flash risk controls.
• Experience reading/wiring diagrams, schematics, and one-line diagrams.

Responsabilités

• Lead commissioning and startup of complete electrical systems with acceptance testing.
• Act as primary technical escalation point for protection and integration issues.
• Plan and perform advanced diagnostics for equipment and protection/control issues.
• Direct transformer testing, maintenance, and condition assessment activities.
• Lead outages, manage field crews, and mentor junior engineers.
