Job summary

Carbon is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and upgrade Carbon 3D printers at customer sites. This is a remote role with frequent travel (75–90%), based from a home office in Michigan, near Detroit DTW.

You will collaborate with service, engineering, and manufacturing teams to document actions, drive improvements, and support customers worldwide, including international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience in field service or customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on approach and ability to read schematics/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Frequent travel 75-90% to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment.
• Familiarize customers with product usage and care.
• Develop processes and documentation for standard service actions.
• Collaborate with engineering/manufacturing to address issues.
• Provide support to engineering and manufacturing teams as needed.
• Occasional off-hours availability; international travel possible.
