Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to act as technical authority for commissioning and modernization of MV/LV power systems. The role includes on-site leadership, safety enforcement, and mentoring junior staff across multiple projects.

You will interface with customers and project teams, drive quality and schedule adherence, and lead diagnostics, testing, and system integration activities in field settings.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of field experience with MV/HV switchgear, protection and control systems or equivalent combination of degree and experience.
• Ability to lead field crews and manage on-site execution for complex commissioning and service events.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices (NFPA 70E/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of complete electrical systems, including acceptance testing.
• Serve as primary technical escalation point for control, protection, and integration issues.
• Mentor Field Service Engineers and technicians; drive quality and schedule adherence.
