Job summary

Cadence Design Systems seeks a Lead Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot and maintain Cadence hardware emulation platforms. This role primarily supports the Atlanta data center, with additional sites in the eastern US, acting as the hardware technical representative onsite at customer locations domestically and internationally.

The position requires a BS (4+ years) or MS (2+ years) in engineering, strong Linux/Unix knowledge, and robust hardware/software troubleshooting and

Qualifications

BS in engineering or related field required.
MS in engineering or related field advantageous.
Solid written and spoken English communication skills.
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to lift 40 lbs and travel domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

Primary contact for all hardware related issues.
Plan and install new equipment; reconfigure existing gear.
Troubleshoot/diagnose and repair hardware and other problems; escalate as needed.
Document all work processes as required.
Build strong, supportive relationships with customers.
Monitor inventory and coordinate parts with customers.
Collaborate with Field Service team and Cadence groups to improve processes.
