Job summary

Cadence in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain Cadence hardware emulation platforms. You will serve as the hardware technical representative providing proactive onsite support at end-user locations domestically and internationally, with primary focus on the Atlanta data center.

You will identify and repair hardware, firmware, and network issues; plan and schedule part replacements; document all work; and collaborate with Field Service teams to

Qualifications

• BS with 4+ years or MS with 2+ years in a related field.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Proven hardware and software troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for all hardware related issues.
• Plan and install new equipment; reconfigure existing gear.
• Troubleshoot/diagnose and repair hardware and other problems.
• Document all work processes as required.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide on-site support.
• Maintain inventory control and coordinate parts.
• Collaborate with Field Service and Cadence groups to improve processes.
