Job summary

Onto Innovation in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Install Engineer to lead on-site installation, calibration, and commissioning of our electro/mechanical systems at customer sites, ensuring safety and performance standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in field service or technical installation, a BS in electronics or mechanical discipline, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of field service, installation, or technical support experience.
• BS in electronics, mechanical, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with electro/mechanical systems, software integration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
• Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission complex electro/mechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot issues during installation and startup and resolve them.
• Collaborate with Ramp Manager and field teams to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Document installation activities and resolutions in company systems.
• Provide feedback to engineering on installation procedures and product performance.
