Job summary

Lam Research in Hillsboro, OR is seeking Senior Field Service Engineers (FSE4/FSE5) to lead complex semiconductor equipment challenges. You will own technical recovery plans, guide installations and upgrades, and communicate with customers and internal teams.

Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally is required. You will develop structured problem-solving models, drive cross-functional actions, and mentor junior FSEs, while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/related field with 7+ years in semiconductor equipment service, installation, escalation, or product-support.
FSE5 level requires 10+ years of relevant semiconductor equipment experience and leadership for a product line.

Responsibilities

Serve as Engineer in Charge (EIC) or senior technical owner for assigned product lines and sites.
Establish a single executable technical plan with clear success criteria, owners, timing, and risk controls.
Lead complex troubleshooting from containment through resolution and verification.
Develop and maintain MBPS artifacts including problem statements, system models and test matrices.
Lead installations, upgrades, conversions, and recovery projects with clear accountability for outcomes.
Prepare concise technical reports, escalation packages, and customer-ready presentations to drive decisions.
