Job summary

Lam Research in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site repair, installation, and maintenance for complex semiconductor equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.

The role requires travel and flexibility for shifts, with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience can substitute for the 5+ years.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance service, and installation/relocation start-up services of Lam’s electro-mechanical and electronic systems at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to isolate issues to component level and minimize downtime.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through learning, training and certification.
• Assist in complex field modifications and document activities to coordinate with Lam and customers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
