Job summary

Medtronic Field Service Engineer role supports CST Imaging and Surgical Robotics systems across the San Antonio, Texas area. The position is field-based with about 50% travel outside the territory, ensuring installation, maintenance, and service of capital equipment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and de-install systems, while coordinating with customers and internal teams to sustain performance and satisfaction. Strong English communication and a customer-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in customer support, mechanical or electrical equipment repair, or field service.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel approx. 50% within/outside territory.
• Experience performing troubleshooting and service on technical equipment in customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, verification, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and de-installation for CST imaging and Surgical Robotics systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues to restore equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate service records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Coordinate service activities with customers and internal partners for timely completion.
• Analyze field service data and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other teams.
• Support development and improvement of service procedures and documentation.
• Participate in technical training and knowledge transfer for distributors and customers.
