Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to service, install, troubleshoot, and repair highly complex ZEISS equipment at customer sites. You will minimize downtime, serve as a technical resource for customers and fellow engineers, and travel domestically and internationally up to 50% as required.

Applicants should have an Associate degree or technical certification, with 3–5 years in field or technical service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• Three to five years in field/service or technical service environment.
• Experience servicing automated systems; electron- or ion-beam systems preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork in multinational settings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair complex ZEISS equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures; develop practical solutions.
• Coordinate and implement complex technical solutions to minimize downtime.
• Provide advanced technical support to customers and colleagues; assist with escalated issues.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% to perform service tasks.
