Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver installation services and on-site support for advanced optical/medical equipment in the Southwest region. You will diagnose issues, perform timely repairs, and train customers on system operation and maintenance.

The role requires strong communication, willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, and a background in electromechanical systems. A driving license and US work authorization are essential.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills in English; German a plus.
• Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas for training.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation services for new ZEISS equipment with high precision and professional hand-off to customers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to enable same-visit repairs when possible.
• Record service visits within 24 hours and follow spare parts procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenances for contract customers within 90 days of SVO assignment.
