Job summary

EPM Scientific in Cambridge, MA seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Calibration Engineer / Field Service Engineer to own and troubleshoot analytical platforms in a regulated R&D environment. You’ll perform IQ/OQ/PQ, calibrations, and lead maintenance while advising on reliability and lifecycle decisions.

You’ll support LC/GC/HPLC systems from major vendors, train colleagues, and coordinate on-site service with scientists and vendors to ensure instrument readiness and compliant records.

Qualifications

• Hands-on chromatography experience is essential.
• Experience servicing, calibrating, qualifying, or troubleshooting instrumentation.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/regulated lab environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair analytical instrumentation in R&D.
• Perform IQ/OQ/PQ, calibrations, and complex service procedures.
• Lead calibration programmes and advise on reliability and lifecycle strategy.
• Develop service methods, maintain records per GxP alignment, and train colleagues.
