Job summary

Acuative is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote technical support for complex enterprise server environments. The role emphasizes ownership of customer environments, diagnostics, break/fix services, and high customer satisfaction.

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with x86 server hardware (Supermicro, Dell, HPE/HP, EMC) and be able to travel 75% or more. Proficiency in English and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience servicing complex x86 server systems.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware.
Experience with Supermicro, Dell, HPE/HP, EMC, or similar enterprise platforms.
Strong hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
Proven break/fix and on-site customer service experience.
Ability to travel 75% or more.
Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for Supermicro and enterprise server equipment.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, BIOS, driver, OS, and application issues.
Perform break/fix services, maintenance, repairs, and parts replacement.
Manage repair and parts cycles to meet service levels.
Take ownership of escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.
Provide second-line technical support to resellers and distributors.
Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
Travel to customer sites to resolve issues and provide training.
Collaborate with TAM, Service Manager, and Product Manager to improve service programs.
