Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Technician to perform fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems. The role supports our Global Service network, requires strong technical aptitude, and excellent interpersonal skills to build a world-class field service organization.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and escalation management. Travel up to 25% and training of new service engineers are expected components of the role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with servers in enterprise environments.
• Strong technical communication skills to lead investigations with engineers.
• Solid hardware diagnostics skills and understanding of BIOS, drivers and loads.

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of Supermicro equipment in an enterprise environment.
• Lead preventive maintenance actions and manage repair/parts cycles to drive customer satisfaction.
• Provide second-line support to resellers/distributors across customer support areas.
• Train new service engineers and travel to field sites as needed.
• Produce meaningful reports and metrics and manage time effectively.
