Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Data Center Service Engineer to perform on-site fieldwork at customer sites and provide post-sales support for server systems. The role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent communication, and the ability to work with Global Service networks to build a world-class field engineering organization.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, rapid response to escalations, and travel up to 25% to train and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
• 1 year field support experience with X86 systems preferred.
• Strong English communication skills and professional writing ability.
• Hands-on server hardware experience (Supermicro, EMC, Dell, HP).

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of complex server issues.
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and quick repairs.
• Handle escalations promptly with cross-functional teams.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers and distributors.
• Train and mentor new service engineers as needed.
• Travel up to 25% to field sites and training sessions.
