Job summary

Senior Resident Project Representative (RPR) at Bunnell-Lammons Engineering serves as the Engineer's primary field representative during construction and liaises with Owners, Engineers, Contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with plans and contract documents.

The role requires extensive knowledge of construction practices, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination, with oversight of project documentation, schedules, and QA activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, construction observation, inspection, infrastructure projects, or engineering consulting.
• Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Experience as Resident Project Representative, Construction Manager, Owner's Representative, Senior Inspector, or similar role.
• Knowledge of EJCDC contract documents, public infrastructure construction, and contract administration procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, shop drawings, schedules, and contract documents.
• Experience with project documentation systems, field reporting, and construction records management.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Engineer's on-site representative throughout construction activities.
• Monitor project progress and conformance with plans, permits and contract requirements.
• Maintain continuous communication with project management and engineering staff regarding status, risks and field conditions.
• Provide observations and recommendations concerning construction progress and compliance.
• Support project delivery while maintaining independence and contractual authority limitations.
• Facilitate communication among project stakeholders for efficient execution.
• Mentor junior inspectors and field personnel.
• Promote consistency in field documentation and reporting standards.
• Assist in training field staff on contract administration and quality assurance.
• Represent the firm in client relationships and project updates.
