Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. seeks a Senior Resident Project Representative to serve as the Engineer's primary field representative during construction, coordinating with Owners, Engineers, Contractors, and regulatory agencies.

The RPR operates under the Engineer of Record and Project Manager to provide construction observation, contract administration support, QA oversight, and project documentation. This role requires extensive knowledge of construction practices, contract administration

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline required.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, construction observation, inspection, infrastructure projects, or engineering consulting.
• Experience serving as Resident Project Representative, Construction Manager, Owner's Representative, Senior Inspector, or similar role.
• Working knowledge of EJCDC contract documents, public infrastructure construction, and construction administration procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, shop drawings, schedules, and contract documents.
• Experience with project documentation systems, field reporting, and construction records management.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
• Relevant certifications such as NICET, ICC, ACI, DOT Inspector, OSHA, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Engineer's on-site representative throughout construction activities.
• Monitor project progress and conformance with approved plans, specifications, permits, and contract requirements.
• Maintain continuous communication with project management and engineering staff regarding project status, risks, and field conditions.
• Provide objective observations and recommendations concerning construction progress and compliance.
• Support project delivery objectives while maintaining professional independence and contractual authority limitations.
• Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to support efficient project execution.
• Mentor junior inspectors, construction observers, and field personnel.
• Assist in training field staff on contract administration processes and quality assurance requirements.
