Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction QA Inspector for a significant heavy civil project in the United States.

You will perform field QA inspections, produce daily detailed reports, and ensure contractor compliance with plans, specifications, safety rules, and schedules. The ideal candidate will have extensive QA experience on large civil projects, familiarity with USACE processes, EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements, and strong submittal review and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 20+ years of experience in construction industry.
• 20+ years of QA experience on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform field QA inspections to determine compliance with plans and specs for a large heavy civil project.
• Provide field surveillance and three-phase inspections and daily detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure contractor work complies with schedules, plans, specs, and safety requirements.
• Inspect materials, installation, and testing for contract compliance.
• Review submittals including QA and Safety Plans; ensure adherence to EM 385-1-1 and OSHA.
• Monitor deficiency tracking and ensure corrective action with audit trail.
• Review daily QC reports for accuracy and deficiencies.
• Perform safety inspections and report activities.
• Provide onsite quantity verifications and report progress.
• Maintain updated plans/specs and track amendments.
• Track RFIs and deficiencies; manage NAS schedule reviews.
• Analyze contractor claims and prepare chronology of events.
