Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction (QA) Inspector to oversee on-site surveillance and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements in Louisville, KY.

The role requires extensive construction inspection background and DoD/USACE project experience. The ideal candidate will perform daily site inspections, maintain reports, review submittals and schedules, and use RMS 3.0 to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience on DoD/USACE or federal construction projects.
• Experience with vertical construction; hospital projects preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes (NFPA 101, NEC, IPC, NFPA 13/72).
• Experience with RMS 3.0 and three-phase inspection; OSHA EM 385-1-1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on all phases of construction for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Provides technical expertise to ensure the project complies with engineering standards, codes, and design instructions.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports including progress, safety issues, and manpower.
• Observes construction phases for compliance with schedules and shop drawings; identifies problems and recommends changes.
• Prepares complete engineering plans or reports and reviews contractor schedules.
• Assists in all phases of the contract modification process and reviews submittals for approval.
