Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a seasoned field QA Inspector for a large heavy civil project. Perform field QA inspections, surveillance, and daily inspection reports to ensure plans and specs are followed.

Responsibilities include verifying contractor schedules, reviewing submittals, safety plans (EM 385-1-1, OSHA), maintaining as-built drawings, tracking RFIs and deficiencies, and reporting progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 20 years in construction with QA focus.
• Extensive QA experience on large civil projects.
• USACE project experience preferred.
• Familiar with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA rules.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required or equivalent.
• Experience with contractor submittals and QC/QA roles.
• Knowledge of RMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field QA inspections to verify conformance with plans and specs.
• Provide field surveillance and three-phase inspections with daily reports.
• Ensure contractor work adheres to schedule and contract documents.
• Inspect materials, installation, and testing for contract compliance.
• Review submittals, safety plans, and EM 385-1-1/OSHA compliance.
• Monitor deficiency tracking and maintain audit trails.
• Review daily QC reports for accuracy and deficiencies.
• Conduct safety inspections and document activities.
• Provide onsite quantity verifications and report progress.
• Maintain updated plans/specifications and as-built drawings monthly.
• Track RFIs, deficiencies, and project information requests.
• Analyze contractor claims and chronology of events.
