Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Detailed Operations Scheduler to optimize daily work plans for multiple crews across a large footprint. You will allocate resources, coordinate equipment and materials, and adjust schedules in real time to meet safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in utility/construction scheduling, strong analytical abilities, and advanced Excel/data manipulation skills. The role supports a hybrid work model with on-site expectations in Colorado.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years of experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations.
• Scheduling/planning experience in utility or construction industry preferred.
• Ability to schedule and manage activities to meet customer/internal requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules daily and assign crews for priority tasks.
• Review designed work outside normal window and manage the queue.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and prerequisites for work execution.
• Ensure proper work acceptance and update stakeholders.
• Communicate schedule changes to leaders, crews and customers.
