Job summary

Xcel Energy Services Inc is seeking a Standard Operations professional to plan and coordinate daily work for multiple crews, optimizing resource use with emphasis on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role involves assigning work, coordinating equipment, and ensuring readiness to meet start dates.

Preferred candidates have a Bachelor's degree and scheduling experience in utility or construction settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of computer software including Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules daily and assign crews for priority tasks based on resource availability and progress reports.
• Review approved work outside normal scheduling window and manage the queue with real-time updates.
• Review work packets, coordinate equipment, arrange prerequisites, and ensure proper work readiness and change communications.
• Manage work rejections, triage additional requests, and adjust schedules to accommodate disruptions.
• Communicate with supervisors and stakeholders to maximize productivity and efficiency of resources.
