DPR Construction, a forward-thinking, self-performing general contractor, is seeking a Field Operations Manager in Richmond, VA. You will lead on-site construction activities, guide field teams and trade partners, and align daily decisions with project goals, safety, and client expectations to deliver high-quality results.

The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and accountability, with a starting pay range of $120,000 to $160,000, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience in field engineering or construction management.
• 1–2 years of experience in a managerial capacity preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred; OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification within 6 months of hire required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of field individuals to achieve exceptional performance and talent development.
• Oversees all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Manages coordination with project managers, self-perform team, subcontractors, and suppliers to schedule resources, resolve issues, manage costs and change impacts, and maintain momentum.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews and approves daily field documentation, including progress reports, safety logs, planning documentation (e.g., pre-task plans), and incident records.
• Reviews and communicates project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
