Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation seeks a seasoned Project Field Engineer to lead field engineering teams on LNG plant projects along the US Gulf Coast. You will oversee work planning, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, and system turnover coordination.

The role requires directing multiple disciplines, ensuring constructability, and maintaining adherence to ASME/API standards. Mobility across locations may be required as projects evolve.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience overseeing installation and inspection of rotating and static equipment.
• Experience commissioning of rotating and/or static equipment.
• Experience leading teams and setting up/maintaining a work package program.
• Familiarity with ASME and API standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts.
• Lead engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary activities on medium to large projects.
• Ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate between Construction and Startup for system walkdowns and turnover; interface with Startup Specialist as required.
• Review inspection test plans and coordinate subcontractor submittals.
